What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is the application of the science of nutrition to promote the health and well-being of an individual. Nutritional Therapists seek to identify potential nutritional and metabolic imbalances to determine how these may be contributing to your health. In targeting these imbalances through dietary and lifestyle measures, Nutritional Therapy addresses the root causes of your health problems. As a registered Nutritional Therapist, I use evidence-based dietary and lifestyle recommendations, tailored to your exact health requirements and unique circumstances, to restore the body back to optimum health and wellness. You are unique and therefore your nutrition programme is unique - there is no one size fits all approach. I use a functional medicine approach to health, which means as well as taking into consideration all presenting signs and symptoms, I consider and recognise there are different factors of your life which may affect how you may be feeling. Therefore, my approach to nutritional therapy aims to work with you by addressing you as the whole person, by looking at your diet, lifestyle, genetics, environmental factors and much more, rather than simply focusing on your symptoms. We work together to uncover the different factors which might be affecting your health and well-being. In a world full of nutritional advice, my aim is to help you see through the often conflicting and overwhelming information and provide you with clear, practical and easy-to-implement advice.
